Exploring The Weird World Of Subatomic Particles (And Much More) With Dr. Joe Dispenza- An Interview

January 13, 2011

I first became familiar with Dr Joe Dispenza in 2006 when a professor of mine showed our class the film What the BLEEP Do We Know!? I was absolutely captivated by Dr Joe’s user friendly explanation of how neurons that fire together, wire together, a saying that has become used time and again since the films release. I also remember being completely surprised when our professor turned the lights on at the films conclusion as there was only about five of the original twenty students still there. I wasn’t only surprised because I couldn’t believe someone wouldn’t be fascinated by the material presented in the film, but also because I don’t remember seeing one of them leave. I was literally that captivated!

Here’s more on Dr Joe from his website www.drjoedispenza.com before moving on to the interview:

Joe Dispenza, D.C., studied biochemistry at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, N.J. He has a Bachelor of Science degree with an emphasis in Neuroscience from Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA. Dr. Dispenza also received his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree at Life University in Atlanta, Georgia, graduating magna cum laude.

Dr. Dispenza’s postgraduate training and continuing education has been in neurology; neuroscience; brain function and chemistry; cellular biology; memory formation; and aging and longevity. He is an invited member of Who’s Who in America, an honorary member of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, the recipient of a Clinical Proficiency Citation for clinical excellence in doctor-patient relationships from Life University, and a member of Pi Tau Delta – the International Chiropractic Honor Society.

Over the last 10 years, Dr. Dispenza has lectured in over 17 different countries on six continents educating people about the role and function of the human brain. He has taught thousands of people how to re-program their thinking through scientifically proven neuro-physiologic principles. As a result, this information has taught many individuals to reach their specific goals and visions by eliminating self-destructive habits. His approach, taught in a very simple method, creates a bridge between true human potential and the latest scientific theories of neuroplasticity. He explains how thinking in new ways, as well as changing beliefs, can literally rewire one’s brain. The premise of his work is founded in his total conviction that every person on this planet has within them, the latent potential of greatness and true unlimited abilities.

The Following Interview was conducted on 1/6/11.

Musician And Spiritual Counselor Cindy Lora-Renard Talks With The Indie Spiritualist.

December 27, 2010

Cindy Lora is an innovative and extraordinary talent blending an eclectic mix of Visionary/New Age, Alternative Pop and meditative sounds with contemporary beats to create a unique style. Her sultry vocals, creative lyrics, and primal rhythms produce a state of mind which takes the listener to higher places where courage, wisdom, and passion can transform.

Born into a family of teachers and musicians and raised in the Midwest, Cindy was exposed to music early in life. Introduced primarily to the classical genre during her early years, Cindy wanted to branch out and explore other styles which would later prove to be her authentic path. As she developed herself emotionally and spiritually, her musical talents matured with her.

Cindy is also a pianist and graduate of California State University, Northridge, with a B.A. in Psychology and a Minor in Music. She has also completed her Master’s Degree in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica. (cindylora.com)

Father Thomas Keating Laughs, Talks, And Elaborates With The Indie Spiritualist.

December 22, 2010

Father Thomas Keating is a writer, teacher and founding member of the Spirituality branch of Integral Institute. At the age of eighty-one, he continues to be a prominent voice in the Christian Centering Prayer movement through the organization he founded, Contemplative Outreach, an international network committed to renewing the contemplative dimension of the Gospel in daily life.

Fr. Thomas, born in New York in 1923, entered the Cistercian Order in Valley Falls, Rhode Island in 1944 and was appointed Superior of St. Benedict’s Monastery of Snowmass, Colorado in 1958. Three years later he became Abbot of St. Joseph’s Abbey of Spencer, Massachusetts, before retiring to Snowmass—a small mountain community of just over a dozen monks—in 1981, where he remains today.

Fr. Thomas is also a best-selling author, having penned, along with many other publications, Open Mind, Open Heart in 1986, a clarion call for many to the need for transformational practice within the Christian tradition.

It helps that Fr. Thomas also has an unusually open-minded attitude towards the meditative practices of other traditions and has studied with spiritual teachers from a variety of Hindu and Buddhist lineages, for this led to the creation of the Snowmass Interreligious Conference in 1982, where teachers from diverse paths met regularly to compare notes and evaluate the successes and failures of their respective practices. Other organizations graced by the presence of Fr. Thomas include the Monastic Interreligious Dialogue (which sponsors exchanges between the monks and nuns of every religion), and the International Committee for Peace Council.

Amazingly, within this flurry of activity Fr. Thomas has nevertheless found the time to deepen his own relationship to the Divine—which he likens “to two friends sitting in silence, being in each other’s presence”—to such a degree that he is sought the world over for his extraordinary warmth, humility, and deep-centered love.
